The Governor Hill Mansion

GHMHistoric.jpg
Maine's 45th Governor, John Freemont Hill commissioned the renowned architect John Calvin Stevens to design a mansion fit for a governor.  Completed in 1902, the mansion was the Hill family home until it was donated to the Catholic church by Governor Hill's granddaughter.
Today The Governor Hill Mansion is owned by Geoff Houghton, owner of The Liberal Cup in Hallowell, who is also our exclusive caterer.  The Mansion is run by the incomparable Elaine and Tim Sounier.  Contact Elaine for booking information for your next meeting, recpetion, or wedding.
